The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reports a mild heatwave affecting 36 districts, which is expected to continue. According to Senior Meteorologist Dr. Md. Omar Faruq’s forecast on June 10, daytime maximum temperatures have remained nearly steady, while nighttime lows have shown slight fluctuations.

• Areas Affected: Mild heat persists over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions, as well as the districts of Faridpur, Madaripur, Tangail, Chandpur, Feni, and Patuakhali.


• Sky & Breeze: Most areas experience partly cloudy skies by day; light breezes at night with generally dry conditions provide some relief from the heat.

• Rain & Thunderstorms: Scattered showers or thunderstorms with gusty winds are likely over parts of Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and in isolated locations of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.

  

• Temperatures: Day and night temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged nationwide.


• June 12 (Thursday), 9 AM–9 AM Next Day


  • Widespread Rain & Thunderstorms: Many areas of Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, plus isolated spots in Rangpur and Rajshahi, will likely see showers or thunderstorms with gusty winds.

  

• Heavy Rainfall: Moderate to heavy rain may occur in some localities.

  

• Temperature Change: Daytime temperatures may drop slightly; nighttime lows will be almost steady or slightly cooler.
