A longstanding shortage of teachers in the country’s private schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical institutes is about to ease. Today (June 16), the Non‑Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) will release its Sixth Mass Notification. Once published on the NTRCA website (ntrca.gov.bd) this afternoon or evening, it will open up opportunities to recruit nearly 100,000 teachers.

According to the preliminary list, about 46,000 vacancies have been identified in schools and colleges under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), and roughly 55,000 in madrasas and technical institutions. After final verification and removal of duplicate or non‑MPO requests, the total is expected to settle at around 80,000–90,000 positions.

The entire application process will be conducted online: applications open on June 22 and close on July 10, with the deadline for payment of the application fee set for July 13. Each candidate may list up to 40 institutions in order of preference, and there is also an option to indicate interest in any “other institution.”

Eligibility criteria stipulate that, as of the notification date (June 16), applicants must be no older than 35 years and must hold a valid NTRCA registration certificate issued within the last three years. Candidates must also upload all relevant academic credentials and certificates online.

The Sixth Mass Notification was approved at the board meeting held on June 4; all preparations are complete, and only publication in the national newspapers remains. To ensure transparency throughout the recruitment process, from application and verification to result publication, NTRCA’s own software system will handle everything automatically.

By announcing recruitment for nearly one hundred thousand teachers, this initiative injects fresh momentum into the private education sector. Interested candidates are advised to apply promptly and to monitor the website regularly so that no opportunity is missed.
