The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has announced a fresh increase in domestic gold rates. In a notification issued on the night of Saturday, 14 June, BAJUS raised the price of 22‑carat pure gold by BDT 2,192 per tola, fixing the new rate at BDT 174,528 per tola, effective from Monday, 15 June.
New Gold Rate (22‑Carat Pure Gold)
• Previous Rate (from 5 June): BDT 172,336 per tola
Increase: +BDT 2,192 per tola
• New Rate (from 15 June): BDT 174,528 per tola
BAJUS explained that the surge in international benchmark prices for pure (“tejabi”) gold, combined with local market conditions, necessitated this revision.
Comparison with Earlier Revision
On 5 June, the price was raised by BDT 2,415 per tola to BDT 172,336.
The two consecutive hikes—BDT 2,415 and BDT 2,192—underscore a sustained upward trend in mid‑2025.

• 21‑Carat Silver: BDT 2,683 per tola
